John Anderson

Anderson Productions, Inc. is a full-service HDTV production and post-production facility.  Led by John Anderson, a Grammy-nominated and Midwest Emmy-winning Producer, Director and Editor, Anderson Productions researches, writes, produces, directs, shoots, edits and creates original music for a wide variety of television and film projects.  Work on documentaries, music videos, television and radio commercials, product launches, educational programs and corporate videos has taken us across the US and throughout Europe and Asia.

John Anderson

John Anderson is an Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated Executive Producer, Director and Editor whose work has aired on PBS, A&E, MTV, VH1, Showtime, Cinemax, HBO, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, MuchMusic, the BBC and elsewhere around the world. His list of directorial clients includes Warner Brothers Records, Capitol/EMI, Sanctuary Visual Entertainment, Image Entertainment, Rhino Home Video, Giant Records and The Walt Disney Company, and his long-form editorial work for The Oprah Winfrey Show, NOVA, Kurtis Productions and others has won numerous accolades and awards.

John was nominated for a 2005 Grammy for his direction of “Brian Wilson Presents SMiLE”, the platinum-selling DVD release from Warner Brothers/Rhino Home Video. The live performance DVD, which Brian Wilson hails as “a masterpiece”, marks Anderson’s fourth DVD collaboration with the former Beach Boys leader, following “Imagination” (1998), “Brian Wilson On Tour” (2002) and “Pet Sounds Live In London” (2003).

John won a 2008-2009 Midwest Emmy for his work as Executive Producer of “CPS Right Now!”, a bi-weekly television newsmagazine he created for Chicago Public Schools.

Screen Magazine’s ‘Editor of the Year’ and winner of an International Monitor Award for ‘Best Editor of A Music Video’, his editorial work includes The Chicago Bears’ “The Super Bowl Shuffle”, which became the second-highest selling music video of all time.

Current projects include the documentary features “White, Black & Blues”, “John Prine's Roots” (working title) and the reality television series, “Making of Van Ghost”, and the creation of HDTV curriculum materials for The Walt Disney Company / Disney English.
